2014

We'd like to thank Lizzie Cole for this year's photos.

As well as providing facilities for the Road Races, the Station Pub also held a fund-raising day for the Motor Neuron Disease Association on Easter Monday - many thanks to all staff for their support!

The Road Race Committee

The first Walker (and eventual winner) starts the events.

Closely followed by the rest of the Walkers.

The entrants for the junior 0.5 mile Race get ready

And they're off!

Next it's the turn of the Fun Runners.

Road Race Supremo Ken (on the left) and James (328)  took part in the very first race back in 1977.

Runners' start times are staggered for the 5 mile senior race.

Road Race committee member Dave at the finish line

Rob finishes the senior race (great t-shirt)

Some previous runners choose the considerably easier task of Marshalling this year.

After the Races had completed, the Committee presented prizes in the pub garden, while competitors, helpers and supporters all enjoyed food and drink from the bar and barbecue. All participants received a certificate and children also got a creme egg! A full list of times and winners of each race will appear in the May issue of the Link and on the website shortly
